COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER: ASTHMA MICRO-CREDENTIAL

The curriculum is designed to train frontline workers to provide culturally responsive asthma services in Michigan communities. The training consists of 3 hours of asynchronous independent self-study. This training
covers the prevalence of asthma and allergies among recognized populations while integrating how social determinants of health affects the prevalence of asthma. This course also covers how a community health worker can help community members living with asthma improve their asthma symptoms by educating
them on the causes of triggers and how to best reduce triggers. Office hours will be available for students who need additional support.
