Join Us for an Informative Webinar on Kidney Health for Community Health Workers

The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) invites you to an engaging and interactive webinar designed specifically for Community Health Workers (CHWs). This session will enhance your knowledge of kidney health and equip you with the tools to educate and support individuals in your community.

This is a two-part training!

1. Part one includes completing three required CHW modules on the NKF website. Please see the details below to access the site. You will be required to make an account to complete the modules. You will receive a CEU certificate that you can upload to Member365.

2. Part two includes joining a 2hr live virtual session designed to share tools and resources and engage in group discussions to best support clients in their kidney health and beyond.

In collaboration with the Michigan Community Health Worker Alliance (MiCHWA), NKFM will provide three pre-work modules, which offer additional CEUs upon completion:
✔️ Kidney Disease Overview
✔️ Nutrition and Kidney Health
✔️ Kidney Failure Treatment and Care

These modules, developed by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), help CHWs support kidney disease detection, risk reduction, and self-management.

After completing the pre-work, CHWs will have the opportunity to synthesize what they've learned at the live webinar on April 9, 2025 with NKFM experts!
